This sink has a top-mounted, drop-in design. Drop-in (or self-rimming) sinks are generally quicker and easier to install than undermount sinks, and they can be installed into any countertop material. They also have a lip on the perimeter, so that once the sink is installed, the weight of the sink and its contents are transferred over to the surrounding countertop. This better supports and secures the sink, whereas undermount sinks might fall if not installed properly. In addition, because all parts of drop-in sinks are visible, they are incredibly easy to clean.
This sink replaces or upgrades your existing bathroom sink. If not replacing an existing sink, a hole 1/4" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink must be cut in the counter top. Once the hole has been made, the sink just drops into place. Brackets and hardware are included to secure the sink to the counter. The use of silicone sealant (sold separately) is recommended.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an oval lavatory sink. This unit replaces or upgrades your RV's bathroom sink. It's constructed of a durable ABS plastic construction and it has a nice oval shape to it, it's white in color. It comes with a down tube, which would attach right here with the appropriate sealant, not included. So that needs to be supplied separately, but it comes with your down tube or your stem. It also comes with the drain plug, goes directly in that portion there.
It does have a seal to ensure hat it holds water in the bowl. It also comes with your mounting brackets and mounting hardware.Few measurements I want to go over with you really quick. I took overall dimensions, from edge to edge, going this direction. Got a measurement of around 13 and three-quarter inches. I did that same measurement going this direction, edge to edge, straight across and it was about 10 and three-eighths inches.
If you're installing this, on a new application, and if you need to make a cut, like if you need to cut the installation hole, the instructions are located right here on the sticker.What they suggest, is you place this down, just like that, and then you trace a line around the perimeter of the bowl or of the sink, you removes this and then you . excuse me, you measure a quarter inch for that line, make a new one and that's going to be your cut hole, or your cut line. So what I did, is I just took a quarter inch measurement off of those overall dimensions, so your cutout, side to side, is going to measure around 13 and a half inches. Front to back it's going to measure around 10 and one-eighth inches, and again, that's an oval shape.The sink opening, so the bowl right here, edge to edge, measures about 11 and a half inches. Front to back, edge to edge, is about eight and one-eighth.
The tube has an outer diameter of an inch and a quarter, and an inter-diameter of around one inch, and the product is made in the U.S.A. Also, it indicates which portion is the front, it says front right here, so you want to make sure that if you're standing in front of the sink, that that would be facing towards you.That's going to do it for today's look at the oval lavatory sink.

This sink worked out perfectly for our small bathroom on our Roadtrek Popular 190. It is deep for a small sink and shaped to drain completely even when we're not on level ground.
I am doing a renovation on my RV and wanted to switch out the old yellow sink for a bright white one. What a huge difference it makes! Easy to install and a top quality sink for small budget price. Thanks!

This sink was exactly what I needed to replace a similar sink in the head on my boat. It fit the existing hole, and the faucet I had previously bought from trailer worked with it great.

It still works great. I often wash my oily hands in the sink after working on my engine. The oily dirt cleans right off the sink with s paper towel.
My husband and I have been sprucing up a recently purchased older small RV. We replaced the old stained yellowish bathroom sink with this new white one. What an improvement! Also replaced the faucet with a gooseneck which I’m hoping will be easier to use.
We didn't like the original yellowish colored sink and replaced it with this white one. It brightened up the bathroom quite bit. 4*'s because it's the inexpensive plastic sink and not your top of the line. Does the job and it is lightweight. EZ to install as well.
Product is lightweight and fits RV vanities well. Installation was tricky because despite having a pretty challenging shape to cut, there was NO template for this sink, so cutting the hole right took some guesswork and luck.
Now that it's installed, it looks nice enough and works well, but the plastic does not resist grime the way porcelain house sinks do. The sides easily acquire a gritty mineral feel, especially when camping with hard water; the drain quickly gets a yellow bacteria look on the drain edge and the plug; and the overall construction seems to attract black grime in the actual drain pipe, which we clean out with a vinegar/baking soda treatment every 3-4 months. But, I suspect those problems to be common to all RV-grade plastic sinks, unfortunately.
For the price, these problems are manageable. It really ought to come with a paper template, though.

My initial assessment held true the main downside of this sink is it being hard to keep clean. I still think providing a paper template would be helpful.
The quality is what I expected. However I did not read thoroughly enough to realize that a pop-up drain would not fit in this sink basin and I will be returning the item.

Good quality and nice appearing product. Had some difficulty creating a tailpiece for the drain. Ended up using a hose clamp and a large diameter hose to make the connection. But, it looks fine now and really dressed up to head on my sailboat.
Just what we needed!!! Have an older Fleetwood Caribou truck camper and the sink had yellowed over time. Buying this exact replacement was half the price of trying to repaint the old one with tub and tile epoxy. The best part is that we don't have to worry about the finish coming off!!! Exactly what I thought it was, would have been nice if it came with the proper sealant for drain or at least instructions on what type of sealant to use. Otherwise it’s just fine
